The way I talked about Peloton in 2021-2022 is the way I'll be talking about Mel Robbins and Launch in 2024, sooo get excited for that!! lol She suggests regularly celebrating a past and present "win" in your life, and speaking life over a future win that you're working toward!
- Past Win = Clarity - recognizing in a new way that emotional abuse, gaslighting, and/or consistent mistreatment is NOT love, and totally reframing the way I will talk about that moving forward. In Mel's audiobook, she says to be so careful not to say that someone who treated you terribly "loved you" - that it's dangerous because it changes your standard and lowers your bar for what LOVE should look like and how you deserve to be treated!! She suggests that we can approach it with compassion by saying, "___ was too broken to love me, so I am seeking healthier relationships in the future!" Wow! She. is. not. wrong. It's an exceptional and important reframe for me, who worked so hard to convince myself that the friend who left really loved me somewhere deep down. It changes how I will approach this in counseling, as well -- understanding that it's more important for kids to understand what healthy love is than to believe their broken/neglectful/abusive parents love them. Healthy love is not indifferent (or violent or manipulative, etc.), and I deserve to be loved. ❤
- Present Win = Feeling calm and confident as I move toward surgery. Sharing that plan online and receiving a stunning amount of love, support, and prayer!!! Having exceptional friends whose wisdom I trust deeply... and dropping the sword.
- Future Win = Believing God for a safe trip and successful surgery this Friday with a smooth recovery and transformative results! Finishing strong on this 30-day Project Sprint and staying motivated in the Launch course!! I am building core strength and spending dedicated time with Jesus every day, and it's been such an intense season of life that I honestly have not missed TV at all (except on weekends, but I re-watch the Launch Live Trainings and always discover something new).
That was deeper than I'd planned - I promise most of the Wednesday Wins posts will be more fun in future. lol
Yay for this happy lavender on my lunch walk yesterday!
Loving this, and I get two more 30-day project sprints ahead... YAY!
Soaking up all the motivating, empowering energy I can get!
God is working in me and through me and for me. I love who I am today (to the point of irrationally fearing change), but I believe God has better things in store, and I feel as prepared as I can be for the life-changing year ahead! Thank you for praying with me and for me. ❤

In case no one else tells you today, let me be the one to say that I love you and I believe in you, and I believe you deserve to build wonderful relationships with mutual love and respect!! ❤
